Shaped by using the kurinuki process, the vertical breaks of this piece reveal an interior softened by fire and time. Layers of clay and textures fuse into a surface that feels ancient and eroded.

The form holds both solidity and fragility: stone-like ridges fractured by voids, pale areas where the clay has burned back to its rawest state, and darker textures that speak to what has endured. It feels like a remnant uncovered rather than something newly made.
