This handcarved piece emerges from a deep kurinuki excavation, its surface marked by textures of clay, earth and fire. Vertical breaks shape the form into ridges, creating a structure that feels weathered - held together by what remains.

Darkened edges, raw textures, and small openings evoke the sense of something once whole, now reshaped . It carries the tension of loss and endurance: a form hollowed out, yet still standing.

A sculptural piece from Shaped by Loss, it holds the story of erosion as transformation - what is taken away revealing a strength from within.
