Sculptural vessel crafted from stoneware - the textured surface is the result of the layering of NZ made slips, scoria, silica sand, and other aggregates, giving it a rugged, natural aesthetic. This work is part of the Neither / Nor series, which explores the themes of displacement and the unsettled state of being in between. The form challenges the idea of a traditional vessel, leaning and twisting to embody the tension between belonging and estrangement, memory and forgetting.
