C048

Formed from New Zealand clay, this bowl’s layered, textured surfaces bear a burnt appearance. Metal staples hold fragments together referencing Ju Ci, the ancient Chinese method to repair ceramics. A darkened interior reveals subtle textures, evoking memory’s traces and the raw, uneasy emotions of displacement, loss, and identity’s lasting imprint.
