Conversations No. 4

Part of the Conversations series, this trio of hand-built vessels is a study in relationship - between form, surface, and the quiet spaces that connect them.

Each piece is has a heavily textured, exterior, evoking the raw, weathered surfaces of stone and earth. Handuilt from NZ clay and layered with washes and aggregates, these bowls hold the marks of process: cracks, ridges, and subtle shifts in tone that feel unearthed rather than made. These surfaces speak to age, erosion, and memory - offering a tactile counterpoint to the smooth, soft green interior.
